We've been working with the team at Rocon Contractors designing a new website and developing a custom WordPress Content Management System (CMS) for the Hampshire based Groundworks and Civil Engineering firm.
Founded over 50 years go and based in Bramley, near Basingstoke, Rocon predominantly works on county and local authority highway and school projects, although also specialises in a wide range of commercial and residential sub-structure works offering a large, experienced, and long-serving team of groundworkers and plant operators.
The new website we've designed for Rocon Contractors is developed upon the WordPress Content Management System (CMS). We developed a custom design for the website, then a ground up customised WordPress CMS and WordPress Theme to the Rocon Contractors website's requirements. Following the new Rocon Contractors website going live; the WordPress CMS allows the team at Rocon Contractors to quickly and easily login to add new pages, images, and copy.
To optimise the website's page speed, we've developed the new Rocon Contractors website without the use of a CSS framework; the code cleanliness resulting in an incredibly responsive experience for website visitors.
We've implemented BEM based CSS in the Rocon Contractors website; this allowing for better future expansion of the website in the future.
The Rocon Contractors website offers visitors a Mobile First Responsive Web Design (RWD) allowing for the Rocon Contractors website's content to be optimised for mobile interaction and predictably delivered irrespective of device e.g. desktop browser, notebook, tablet or smartphone.
We've integrated Advanced Custom Fields Professional (ACF Pro) into the Rocon Contractors website's CMS; allowing for custom post and content structure across the Rocon Contractors website and CMS.
