Aegis the Union Web Design

Hotbox Studios has been working closely with Aegis the Union in 2013 and we've just launched the new Aegis the Union website!

Aegis the Union has been growing since 1971; initially formed as a staff association and growing to a trade union which gained independent status in 2008. Aegis focus is on workers' rights in the Finance Industry.

The new Aegis the Union website brings together the three existing Aegis websites:

• Aegis Reps - rep meetings and discussion
• Union Learn - learning opportunities offered via the union
• Aegis The Union - for promotion of the union and to keep existing members up to date

The website includes:

• Responsive Website Design (RWD) provides adaptive layout to allow for predictable delivery to desktops, notebooks, tablets and smartphones
• Umbraco Content Management System (CMS) allows the Aegis team to update the website
• Google Web Fonts
• Font Awesome
• Secured by SSL
• Advanced membership functionality for the 400+ Aegis the Union members allowing for multiple member groups and permissions
• Advanced role options for the union's reps allowing for new content to be added and approved as required
• Import and Export of data via the Umbraco CMS API
• Newsletter mailing functionality built into the website and CMS
